David van Dartel – This Time Tomorrow Films
In collaboration with with David van Dartel and MENDO, CameraNU.nl has created two films that focus on David van Dartel’s portraiture and his workflow from his book This Time Tomorrow, published by MENDO.
Discover the intimate friendship shared in David’s work, with Vlieland as the backdrop. David spent endless summers on Vlieland with his friends. For them it is a place where they have fun and relax. For a short time they forget their life on the other side of the sea. There is no plan, no agenda. In the moment in that particular place, David and his friends experience freedom.
Intimate friendships with Vlieland as a backdrop, this is the place where David van Dartel experiences total freedom as a photographer. Together with the people closest to him, he gets to do what makes him most happy. David and his friends portray the aesthetics of the island and while doing this they experience the greatest fun. For them, the images are more than an aesthetic expression, for them it is a documentation of their friendship.
