On January 11, 2021 Virgil Abloh announced Virgil Abloh. Nike. ICONS, a new book, published by Taschen. To support local business the book had an early sale period through selected Black-owned bookstores and independent retailers, including MENDO. The response has been tremendous. All copies available for the early sale sold out in just a few hours. At this moment Taschen is sorting out the next deliveries. At MENDO we’re in contact with Taschen regularly to receive information for customers who bought the book and people who are interested in the book. In this journal we update you on the status and answer as many questions.
FAQ
I ordered a copy on 12 January. When will I receive it?
We handle the purchases chronologically. The first drop of books have been shipped. We’re in talks with Taschen about the exact date of the next delivery. MENDO wouldn’t be MENDO if we would not go the extra mile to get copies as early as possible, but there is a good chance that the next drop will only be available from February.
I ordered a copy but didn’t receive a confirmation.
Please check your spam folder. If you can’t find a confirmation there, send an email to [email protected] with your first and last name and the email address you used for the purchase.
Can I pre-order a copy?
Since we’re currently in talks with Taschen about new deliveries, we do not take pre-orders at the moment. As soon as we have confirmation about available books, we will re-open the pre-order option and we will communicate this on our website, and through social media.
I searched for the book on MENDO.nl, but I couldn’t find it.
The status of the book is Sold Out. Therefore it doesn’t show as a result on our Search page. You can however find the book here.
If you are amongst the people who ordered on January 12th, we thank you for supporting MENDO as a local business, and thank you for your patience.
