Lauren Greenfield visited MENDO to sign Generation Wealth
Signed copies of highly anticipated book
Lauren Greenfield spent 25 years documenting wealth and now her highly anticipated book has been published: Generation Wealth.
Lauren Greenfield is documentary photographer and filmmaker, best known for her 2012 documentary ‘The Queen of Versailles’. Greenfield has been capturing and documenting American wealth since 1992 now. Over 600 images have been used to create her amazing book, Generation Wealth.
Xue Qiwen, 43, in her Shanghai apartment, decorated with furniture from her favorite brand, Versace, 2005. In 1994 Xue started a company that sells industrial cable and has since run four more. She is a member of three golf clubs, each costing approximately $100,000 to join.
“Despite the dramatic divisions in the city revealed by the L.A. riots … rich kids and poor kids had found common ground that their parents had not, and it was a shared love for Versace,” she writes in her new book.
The book contains over 600 images ranging from Tupac playing craps in Las Vegas, losing $10,000 in minutes (1995), Playmates at Hugh Hefners Playboy Mansion’s grotto (2000) and the 43-year old business woman Xue Qiwen, in her Shanghai apartment, decorated with furniture from her favorite brand, Versace, 2005.
