MENDO eCommerce Site Of The Year!
An award-winning webshop
The eCommerce Site Of The Year award, rewarded to MENDO
We try to stay humble at all times, but with news of this magnitude we simply can’t: MENDO.nl is eCommerce Site Of The Year at Awwwards. And that's massive!
When we launched our new MENDO.nl webshop, created in collaboration with Build in Amsterdam last year, we were honored with quite a few rewards, including Honorable Mentions and Site Of The Day’s at Awwwards, The FWA, Mindsparklemag and CSS Awards, and a Site Of The Month at Awwwards. The latter was rather special already, since it was for the first time ever in the history of the Awwwards that this prestigious certificate was granted to an eCommerce platform.
‘This recognition reaffirms Build in Amsterdam delivered.’
‘This recognition reaffirms Build in Amsterdam delivered.’
Awwwards is a global platform that honors the best sites with certificates according to the score they have received from the Awwwards community. It’s a meeting point, where digital design professionals from across the globe find inspiration, impart knowledge and experience, connect, and share constructive, respectful critiques. Over 500 leading web designers and developers gathered at the Langbeck Haus in the heart of Berlin last week, to see prizes awarded to the most outstanding web projects of the last year. The awards recognize websites that radiate innovation and talent, and allow the internet to continue flourishing into an inclusive and beautiful channel for art, knowledge and communication. In the category eCommerce, MENDO was awarded eCommerce Site Of The Year.
Our current webshop is the result of a unique collaboration between MENDO and Build in Amsterdam – it brought out the best in both. MENDO’s Joost Albronda: “I believe we can say we were a great match and we inspired each other to make this something special. Not only during the initial stage, when everything is seemingly possible, but during the entire process. Something else we particularly liked is that nothing was ever ‘technically impossible’.”
MENDO strives to offer visually stunning books the platform they deserve, both in our physical store and online. Build in Amsterdam was able to convert our philosophy to an online experience – and this amazing recognition reaffirms that they delivered.
