Evelyn Hofer: New York
‘In line with Vivian Maier, Joel Meyerowitz, Saul Leiter, William Eggleston, and Garry Winogrand. Evelyn Hofer might not be as well known as the aforementioned, but her work should definitely be recognized as equally great. The German-American captured New York beyond the cliches, while still evoking a nostalgic, homesick feeling with everyone who has ever been to NYC.’
