Six fashion titles that get you in vogue
What’s new, classic and coming soon in fashion books
We consider ourselves to be pretty fashionable at times. And most of that is due to our extensive browsing through the fashion books we have. Here are six titles you should have, to keep up with the fashion world.
IDEA’s latest publication comes in a beautifully designed cover in the shape of Disturbia. It’s the album of Peter Schlesinger’s Gucci pre-fall campaign, which was inspired by the Giallo-movies of Italian director Dario Argento. Its floral cover reminds us of a classic diary notebook, and the content isn’t that bad either. Limited to only 1000 copies.
Another year, another bibliography of things you missed out on. The twelfth version of La MJC’s All Gone covers all the finest of street culture in 2017. From Virgil Abloh’s “The Ten”, to Sean Wotherspoon’s Air Max 1’s and the most hyped up releases and collaborations. This year’s cover is designed by French designer Yoann Houlbert and is available at MENDO in black or gold.
This is Not A F*cking Street Style Book
So now you know what you should have from All Gone, this is how you wear it. Adam Katz Sinding’s MENDO-made book, covers all the relevant fashion weeks and flaunts a wonderful display of street style today. Striking images from backstage fashion shows and candid pictures of what the frontrunners are wearing, introduced by a foreword from none other than Louis Vuitton new creative lead Virgil Abloh.
Louis Vuitton Catwalk
Chances are, Mr. Abloh is putting this one on his shelve. Louis Vuitton Catwalk is the newst episode in a series of catwalk bibles by Thames & Hudson. After Chanel Catwalk and Dior Catwalk, Louis Vuitton Catwalk shows over a thousand images from the runways owned by the likes of Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Cara Delevingne and Gisele Bundchen, all dressed in the most beautiful creations from the French fashion house. Expected to release in July, but already available for pre-order.
Showcasing hundreds of spectacular clothes, details, accessories, beauty looks and set designs – and, of course, the top fashion models who wore them on the runway.
‘It ain’t Laurent without Yves’
‘It ain’t Laurent without Yves’
All About Yves
“It ain’t Laurent without Yves”. Learn all about YSL in this wonderfully designed book from Laurence King Publishing. All About Yves includes unseen sketches and photographs of Yves Saint Laurent’s key collections, as well as fascinating removable documents that include handwritten letters, paper dolls, contact sheets, magazines, and invitations with beautiful paper materials that make you want to put your hands on it (just like Yves garments).
Dior Images: Paolo Roversi
When these two join forces we surely have one of our favourite fashion titles of the year. Paolo Roversi’s Dior Images presents the Italian’s best photography for Dior, bundled by Rizzoli in a big, tangible album that exhales Dior’s class in every centimeter. With garments from all era’s of the 70 year history of the French house.
