Why we do what we do

Even in these surreal times, we send newsletters and post messages on social media. Our own feelings on this are ambiguous. We've written a little note to explain why we do what we do.
Dear friends of MENDO,
You may have noticed that, also in these surreal times, MENDO is active in sending newsletters and posting messages on social media. Our own feelings on this are ambiguous. We are well aware that what we do – offering visually inspiring books – is anything but a vital profession.
At the same time, we notice from the number of people who visit and approach us online, that there is a desire for beautiful books, and inspiration, and sending gifts proves to be a great way to lift someone else’s spirits.
In addition, with the temporary closure of our stores – the flagship store in the Berenstraat, and our new gorgeous location in De L’Europe – we’re missing out on a significant part of our turnover. Therefore, digital communication is the way for us to stay in touch with our customers and to keep our company up and running.
We develop our communication carefully and strive to find a balance between passion for our product and a respectful awareness of the situation at hand. If you ever think we’ve missed the mark, or you happen to like what we’re doing, please let us know.
On behalf of our entire team,
Stay safe & keep browsing,
Roy, Joost & Gunifort
