We’ve got 1947 Ferrari’s for sale
Two new limited Ferrari books soon available at MENDO
With the introduction of the Ferrari 125 S in 1947, former race driver Enzo Ferrari established his illustrious brand for the first time for the public. Since then, the Italian’s red sports cars became the staples for international luxury and velocity on wheels, developing paralleled to the success of its F1 racing team. Now, more than 70 years later, Taschen took the archives of the legendary manufacturer to make a limited edition monument to Italy’s driving force.
Edited by Italian journalist Pino Allievi and enclosed in an aluminum display case designed by Marc Newson, the Ferrari collector’s edition covers an extensive archive of images and stories about the seventy years since 1947. Bound in leather and hand-stitched, this book displays craftsmanship which almost equals the red hot machines it’s about. Every copy of the 1947 total copies made is numbered and signed by Piero Ferrari, son of Enzo Ferrari and vice-chairman of the company.
Next to the €5000 collector’s edition, we also offer an exclusive €25.000 art edition (edition of 250) which comes with a sculpture interpretation of the actual Ferrari 12-cylinder engine, made by Marc Newson. Flared chrome steel and red details make it the perfect statement bookstand for a limited edition book signed by Piero Ferrari, Sergio Marchionne (CEO of Ferrari) and John Elkann (Vice-Chairman of Ferrari).
Ferrari Collector’s Edition and Art Edition will release this August. Both are available for pre-order at MENDO as of now.
