Made by MENDO
About the booksWho will recognize a great book better than a bookstore? A bookstore run by graphic designers. Here’s why: at MENDO we get market feedback seven days a week, we are blessed to be surrounded by a bunch of talented, inspiring people – photographers, writers and publishers – and after being a bookstore for more than 15 years, we can easily say we know what book aficionados are looking for. Don’t you agree that initiating, creating and realizing jaw-dropping books now, only comes natural?
A MENDO publication is a well-designed book with visually stunning creative content, browsed by people to be amazed and inspired. The subject-matter is one of our pre-defined curated categories, fashion, photography, interior, sport, lifestyle, food and traveling. In general, a MENDO book is a piece of furniture in itself.
A seminal series of somehow salads to keep you coming back for more
After coming to the end of this chapter in the culinary journey Apartamento embarked upon six years ago, they started to wonder whether the term ‘salads’ was broad enough to define such a collection of recipes. Pig’s ear cocktail from our friends at Tarragona’s Bar Cortijo? Late-night guinea fowl, the original staff meal from Bao, London? Grilled and glazed greens from Septime, Paris, the type to earn them a Michelin star? Or the everyday life classic from one of South Korea’s top chefs, his clams in cho-gochujang sauce? They’ll leave it up to you to decide…
Then there’s seaweed from a California commune, burnt-pecan dressing, romesco sauce, winemakers and writers, and a salad baked in cheese from the cook who opened a restaurant with Gordon Matta-Clark in the ‘70s. All up, the sixth annual Apartamento cookbook is a broad family, a seminal series of somehow salads to keep you coming back for more.
