Surveying over twenty examples of India’s finest contemporary residential architecture, this book offers exclusive, and often unprecedented, insight into private houses across the country built by an array of leading and up-and-coming architects, including Architecture Brio, Matharoo Associates, Abraham John Architects, Khosla Associates, the Pritzker Prize-winning B. V. Doshi and more.
The featured projects span the country, from the western coasts of Goa and Maharashtra and the inland waters of the Western Ghats, to inner-city havens in Ahmedabad and Mumbai and the banks of the river Ganges in the north.
