Made by MENDO
About the booksWho will recognize a great book better than a bookstore? A bookstore run by graphic designers. Here’s why: at MENDO we get market feedback seven days a week, we are blessed to be surrounded by a bunch of talented, inspiring people – photographers, writers and publishers – and after being a bookstore for more than 15 years, we can easily say we know what book aficionados are looking for. Don’t you agree that initiating, creating and realizing jaw-dropping books now, only comes natural?
A MENDO publication is a well-designed book with visually stunning creative content, browsed by people to be amazed and inspired. The subject-matter is one of our pre-defined curated categories, fashion, photography, interior, sport, lifestyle, food and traveling. In general, a MENDO book is a piece of furniture in itself.

“With the onset of winter, I embarked on a journey in search of harmony. Driven by instinct, I ventured further and further, until I exceeded the limits of rationality,” says Kowalski.
With the beginning of winter, Kacper set out on a journey in search of harmony. Driven by instinct, he ventured farther and farther until he passed the boundaries of rationality. Between the beginning of January ’21 and the end of March he took 76 solo flights in a gyrocopter or a motorized paraglider, passing a route of about 10 000 kilometers in space, spending 200 hours in the air. The pictures were taken from a height of approx. 150 m above bodies of water in northern Poland, near Tricity where he lives.
Event Horizon is both a standalone book and a companion piece to his previous book, Arché. Both projects were made in similar locations and physical conditions. Despite their similarity, they are very different on a meta-level.
