Made by MENDOAbout the books
Who will recognize a great book better than a bookstore? A bookstore run by graphic designers. Here’s why: at MENDO we get market feedback seven days a week, we are blessed to be surrounded by a bunch of talented, inspiring people – photographers, writers and publishers – and after being a bookstore for more than 15 years, we can easily say we know what book aficionados are looking for. Don’t you agree that initiating, creating and realizing jaw-dropping books now, only comes natural?
A MENDO publication is a well-designed book with visually stunning creative content, browsed by people to be amazed and inspired. The subject-matter is one of our pre-defined curated categories, fashion, photography, interior, sport, lifestyle, food and traveling. In general, a MENDO book is a piece of furniture in itself.
A family photo album
The British photographer of Polish origins gives us a glimpse into a number of intimate and public moments spent with his husband and closest friends, set against the familiar backdrop of his home and surrounding fields, sharing them with both poetry and humor.
Kuba Ryniewicz is a photographer, researcher and collector based in the North East of England. He focuses on the relationship between art and nature in various historical and socio-cultural contexts. His work challenges traditional portraiture and travel chronicle to tell untold stories in the context of landscape, history, fashion and culture. Much of Ryniewicz’s work is community based.
Usually cheerful and playing with joyful ambiguities, he captures attitudes, atypical profiles, or grimaces. His photos are enhanced by a moving work of literary fiction written by playwright and novelist Yelena Moskovich and a postscript written by James Tait Black Memorial Prize winner Olivia Laing.
