Made by MENDO
About the booksWho will recognize a great book better than a bookstore? A bookstore run by graphic designers. Here’s why: at MENDO we get market feedback seven days a week, we are blessed to be surrounded by a bunch of talented, inspiring people – photographers, writers and publishers – and after being a bookstore for more than 15 years, we can easily say we know what book aficionados are looking for. Don’t you agree that initiating, creating and realizing jaw-dropping books now, only comes natural?
A MENDO publication is a well-designed book with visually stunning creative content, browsed by people to be amazed and inspired. The subject-matter is one of our pre-defined curated categories, fashion, photography, interior, sport, lifestyle, food and traveling. In general, a MENDO book is a piece of furniture in itself.

Palm Angels is the definitive book on the LA skateboard scene, captured by Italian photographer (and Moncler art director) Francesco Ragazzi. We’re anything but skaters, so we need to borrow some words from Pharrell’s foreword to describe this cultural phenomenon. “The Love of the board supplied us a pair of lenses. I still wear them today.” “Skateboarding has become a litmus test for all the things in my life. If it’s true and core, it’s right. Anything else is a waste of time.”
As said, we’re no skaters, but we do know a good image when we see one. This book, with its slightly hysterical cover design, is packed with good images.
Through art photography, this book hopes to do for skating what Bruce Weber and others did for surf culture
Palm Angels includes an introduction by Pharrell Williams (known to the skate community as Skateboard P), who has been instrumental in popularizing the skate look and has propelled it all the way to the high streets of fashion capitals like Paris, New York, and Tokyo.
