Made by MENDOAbout the books
Who will recognize a great book better than a bookstore? A bookstore run by graphic designers. Here’s why: at MENDO we get market feedback seven days a week, we are blessed to be surrounded by a bunch of talented, inspiring people – photographers, writers and publishers – and after being a bookstore for more than 15 years, we can easily say we know what book aficionados are looking for. Don’t you agree that initiating, creating and realizing jaw-dropping books now, only comes natural?
A MENDO publication is a well-designed book with visually stunning creative content, browsed by people to be amazed and inspired. The subject-matter is one of our pre-defined curated categories, fashion, photography, interior, sport, lifestyle, food and traveling. In general, a MENDO book is a piece of furniture in itself.

IDEA & MENDO
IDEA, publisher of this book, is currently not shipping to the EU because of Brexit and import and duty charges customers are confronted with. For this publication MENDO is IDEA’s preferred partner in Europe.
Nadia’s work is big on ambition. It is hyper-surrealist pop iconography, deeply moving, naked in its honesty, and heartbreaking. All models, shot in varied levels of nudity, all appear to be bold, unbothered and free. Every photograph exudes confidence and a sheer “take me as I am or leave me as is” attitude. Women is empowering, it’s sexy, it’s feminine and it’s masculine. And, despite its retro-inspired aesthetics, it is everything “new” to this era of photography.
‘The world I photograph and create doesn’t reside in the same world that we live in.’
Nadia Lee Cohen is a British photographer, filmmaker and anything but ordinary. Inspired by British and American cinema of the 50s, 60s and 70s, the artist has rejected the conventionality of mainstream photography and is creating a cinematic world that is both glamorous and bizarre.
Nadia Lee Cohen’s Women also comes in a numbered and signed special edition which includes a copy of the book and a signed and stamped 25 x 20.5cm print of Georgia May Jagger in one exquisite box. Shop the special edition here.
